I'm pretty sure this Hosmer is a photo-shopped fan card- not the real thing (you see a lot of these on the net). Topps has actually come out with a new original set every year. Starting in 2001 Topps released a second set, called Topps Heritage to celebrate 50 years of Topps cards. The 2001 set reused the 1952 set:
