Do yourself a favor and get this book. I'm only 40 pages in, but it's great.

Any other books people have read recently?
I just finished Teammates -
http://www.amazon.com/Teammates-Portrai ... 395&sr=1-1. It was pretty good, makes me want to read more about Williams, Dimaggio, Mantle and the like.

Fantasyland is epic...by the time you get to the actual draft it is like you are drafting with him. Very funny but it will change the way you look at fantasy even though it is about 5 years old.

I don't think I could read 750 pages about basketball.

The book is pretty good, but the Wilt vs Russell chapter was kinda boring and wasn't needed. I love how he picks on Vinsanity though...priceless.

while I'm not a huge basketball fan, I am a huge fan of the BS report. Bill Simmons makes me want to appreciate pro-basketball more, even though I hear he is a Stockton-hater.

I moved onto another Halberstam book after finishing Fantasyland, which was great. I'm now reading October 1964. It's about the fall of the Yankees and the rise of other powers (St. Louis).

Krakauer's "Where Men Win Glory," the book about Pat Tillman was great. Same guy who wrote Into Thin Air, Into the Wild," etc. Little bit of sports, history, current events, philosophy mixed in all around.
