League vote: Hourly picks

Post by Pocket full of Posey »

Hello everyone!

This is me "taking the bull by the horns" as Amato put it and putting this to a vote. This vote is for whether a time limit of 6 hours per pick throughout the draft, or going from 6 hours in rounds 1-15, 4 hours for rounds 16-25 and 2 hours for rounds 26-30 should be in place.

Please cast your votes.

I vote for 6 hours per pick throughout the draft. The league dragged on last year towards the end, but in the beginning, we have had rapid paces. The other thing that is best about a 6 hours per pick throughout the draft is that some of us have work and do not have access to computers or that some of us are out of state (or out of country) and making picks in a lesser amount of time hinders the amount of thought and effort that can go into a pick. We are playing for quite a bit of cash, so I would like to think out what my next pick will be. Plus, who really cares if the draft drags a little, we are starting in the winter to make the most out of the time we have without baseball.

So:

2 for 6 hours per pick throughout the draft.

1 for 6 hours in rounds 1-15, 4 hours for rounds 16-25 and 2 hours for rounds 26-30

6 hrs seems good to me, I am often times in the middle of 0 cell reception areas for work and wouldn't be able to log on till after.

Waiting for a ruling...

Instead of trying to keep track under this thread, please vote in the poll I created viewtopic.php?f=2&t=67&start=0

The vote currently stands at 4-3 in favor of 6 hrs all rounds.

Either way, it looks like more people are in favor of the 6 hours throughout the draft.

The good thing with this is that we dont need to have a ruling on this until the 15th round. (both options are 6 hours for the first 15 rounds).
The first side to get to 9 on the vote will be the ruling.
