I am going to tell you off for this pick...until I saw that his middle name is Octavius. I should have picked him in the 1st round if this was the case.

Like last year, there will be a transaction limit of 20 pickups per team. 162 game max for hitters. 1250 innings max per team, 750 innings minimum.

Looks like I'm wrong--but we have done 30 every year, so clarification from the commish would be appreciated.

We did have 30 last year, but in prior years we had 27. With 20 teams in the league, we are looking at 540 picks.(27*20=540). Last year with 18 teams we had 540 also. (18*30=540).

We are staying with the settings set forth before the draft. 27 rounds. You start 9 pitchers, 9 hitters, 9 on the bench.

Just so we all know, last year at the end of New Year's we were at pick 5.12 and in the 2010 draft we were at pick 4.6.

No need. Last year we ended the draft on Feb 21. I think that with two extra people, we should end right at the end of Feb or at worst, first week in March.

Thanks- I had such a hard time passing Victorino up to get Axford, that I felt it was worth trading up to get him. I definitely appreciate all my Phillies dropping low enough for me to grab them.

I'm sure Mike will pick as soon as he wakes up (in Switzerland), but this is the price we pay for going global.

Also, I'm sure I'll have some gaps later in the draft when I'm dealing with a newborn in the next few weeks. So, your patience is much appreciated.
