Re: Discuss the draft
(Feel free to point out that Hamels is just as risky or that Wieters was a huge reach or that Granderson will fail to live up to Bronxpectations...this is all in good fun and I enjoy the back and forth.) I for one loved the back to back picks of Wieters and Hamels. They were both minor reaches, but...

Re: THINGS WE WATCH WHILE WAITING TO DRAFT...
10-7 Boise St right before the half... should have bet on this game. I have decided I hate TCU because really nothing good has ever come from the state of Texas, we should have let Mexico have it in the first place, thanks a lot Davy Crockett... (Maybe I am just a bitter Eagles fan) technically we ...

Re: Rounds 26-30
I understand the concept -- just seems like a lot of excess work on the waiver wires to get the last 5 guys, and there's no guarantee you'll actually get them. Kind of a mess if you ask me. Agreed, there is the potential for a big mess with the waiver claims. 20 teams each putting in five names is ...

Re: Rounds 26-30
[quote="wsuguay" I personally think that this is the easiest, quickest way to do things. it will also be exciting for people once their 25 players rosters have been added to yahoo to plan and put claims in for their final 5 players (who they will all get in one night after they clear waiv...

Re: Rounds 26-30
I know we're a long ways away from this portion of the draft, but how are we doing the last 5 guys? I understand that the first pick will be off of waivers, but then what? Wouldn't players have to come off of waivers for the first pick to be made? Then what? Anarchy? And would these count as part o...

Re: Discuss the draft
Bay will be solid, which is important in a deep league with few transactions. You just need consistency out of your first few picks. That said, I probably would've taken Beltran over Bay. Wait--Beltran is still out there? Talk about fallllllllling... i know! i was considering taking beltran over ro...

Re: First Fantasy Trade of 2010:
Not to say he might not log a game or two as an emergency C, but I doubt he reaches eligibility and, back to the original point, it would be foolish to draft him as anything other than a corner infielder. http://blogs.mercurynews.com/extrabaggs/2009/12/07/sabeans-revelations-pablo-sandoval-will-hit...

Trading one washed-up-has-been for another. Eh.. Can't get too excited about this trade. Both of whom should have been drafted above Pablo Sandoval...I like the Kung Fu Panda, but he shouldnt have went before Votto and Youkilis. He could have waited a round. At least he went before Andrew McCutcheo...

First Fantasy Trade of 2010:
to noone's surprise:
YankeeManiac gets Jeter, pick 5.9, pick 7.9
UCanCallMeDavis gets Rollins, pick 5.7, pick 7.7
The defending Gold Glovers and 2010 AL and NL MVPs are both excited to "be back home" with their teams.
