As I read more about the upcoming season I'm quite disappointed in my Mourneau pick. I took him with the 25th pick. Some places are saying that picking him in the top 40 is risky. Oh well, he sure as hell has potential and a track record.

As I read more about the upcoming season I'm quite disappointed in my Mourneau pick. I took him with the 25th pick. Some places are saying that picking him in the top 40 is risky. Oh well, he sure as hell has potential and a track record.

However he doesn't have a track record of playing in freezing temperatures in April or playing weeks worth of double-headers in August and September. This could be an interesting season for anyone who used an early pick to place a Twin on their roster.

30.12- Happy Halladays- Felipe Paulino SP Houston Astros

Paulino's been in the mix for about my last four picks. Check out his K/9 and his K/BB for the second half of last season--definite breakout potential here. Well played for your final pick.

Thanks, I loved his raw stuff and his K/9 was what initially caught my eye. Could not go wrong with him in the 30th, especially considering he will have a good shot at being the 5th starter in Houston.

30.13 - HB Benchwarmers -- who just got home after a 16 hour day, selects Mike Stanton, OF, Florida Marlins

Stanton is an ultra-athlete who played three sports (basketball, baseball, and football) in high school. He even turned down a scholarship from Pete Carroll to play WR/TE.

He stands at 6'5", 225 lbs. He plays RF and has the potential to hit 60-plus HRs, and if he gets his K rate down, the power will go up even more.

The Red Sox last year offered Manny Ramirez straight up for him, and the Marlins rejected it. So then the Red Sox offered to pay the rest of Manny's salary, and they still rejected it.

Amazing power, great steal this late. MLB.com has him as the #3 prospect. With that said, might not see a ML field this season.

I hope for your sake Amato that is Chan Ho Park RP, and not Chan Ho Park SP. Guy is night and day in the two different roles, but I dont see him getting a rotation spot.

he is definitely in bullpen; cashman flat out said he will not be in rotation hunt. Park is the 4th sp/rp i will be able to start daily who has potential to help my stats and pad my totals. The bullpenj production on Phil hughes, James McDonald, Mujica, and Park could combine to create 1.5-2 really solid starters, with better than average ERA and WHIPs and as many as 20-25 wins in 250 innings.

I thought about doing that but there were not that many sp/rp's worth owning and in the spots I would have had to take them I think there was much better value out there. Time will tell..
