BABIP is good and fun, but I don't buy into this whole lucky and unlucky talk. There's one thing a pitcher can do to help himself out and that's throw strike 1.

After an 0-1 count, Cain's BAA is .196, and he begins in that situation a lot.
If he gets to 0-2 on a hitter, his BAA is .115.

Cain doesn't walk a lot of guys, his WHIP and ERA are low year to year and I'm happy with the pick (even though I had to be talked into it by a few people).

I'm not allowing Andy and his polyester pants anywhere near my picks, but Donald and I went back and forth for a while on Cain (he really wanted Chase Headley). Other SP options at that point were Josh Beckett, Yovanni Gallardo or Cole Hamels. I still think I made the right choice.

I was pretty much flipping a coin between Cain and JJohnson. Cain is way safer than the other 3 options.

Whoever got Quentin at the end of the 6th round got a steal.

Thanks Vogel, yeah, totally took him as a Utility, but I have yet to see ANY list that doesnt have him in the top 100 players, if not the Top 80 at that. To get him in the middle of the 7th is a no brainer. It does suck using my Utility however, its like when you are playing Yahtzee and the guilty feeling you have when you use up that "Chance" slot, you kind of say to yourself; its all or nothing now! lol.
